Cozy restaurant with a fantastic view, great terrace, nice staff ... I find the cake plate, consisting of small pieces of various delicious cakes, very special. Highly recommended!!!

Delicious beef roulade eaten with dumplings and red cabbage. Food was on the table shortly after ordering. The two of us had registered by phone for 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The boss bought the third book "Landlust und Großstadtlichter" by Evi Spittel at cost price. No ISBN and no profit intent for the book. We have known Düppel since childhood and 50 years ago we made “closer contact” there for the first time.

The food there is good home cooking, I can only recommend it. The beer garden has a nice view, but it needs to be improved.

After a nice hike from the Gotha zoo via the old observatory to the Gasthaus Düppel, my wife and I also came to the Düppel. Hike from the zoo to Düppel and back to the zoo approx. 16 km (Luther Trail) We were very satisfied. Very nice service. Very good food. The environment also fits. We really liked the dining room, the beer garden and the area in general. We can recommend the restaurant. Thumbs up.

Cozy, friendly, delicious! If you like a café / restaurant with a beautiful view from the beer garden into the valley, this is the place for you. Ideal excursion place for hiking, biking, partying and chilling out. The rooms are very cozy and decorative and the kitchen is good and rich. The cake plate contains different cake variations, there is something for everyone! Open from Thursday to Sunday. As a bird fan, I am enthusiastic about the bird feeder, lovingly cared for and the whole property. Top! 👍🏻

Great and attentative service especially towards our kids. The Thuringian food was also awesome. We will definitely come back.

Was there for a Christmas party. It was just great overall. Friendly and attentive wait staff, a great Bufet and the Saaal was beautifully prepared for us. Right to recommend. 🙂
